Quad Area Chamber Local Scholarship Winner
The Quad Area Chamber Local Scholarship Winner for Centennial High School is
Susan Dordal. Susan will be attending Carlson School of Management at the University of MN TC next year, her intended major is International Business and Marketing.
Her top five high school activities or accomplishments are:
- Girls Varsity Volleyball – Captain; All conference
- Vice President of National Honor Society
- Fulltime PSEO student at the University of MN
- All-State Academics
- Junior Class President
- MN Northern Star
Quad Chamber Annual Toy Drive
The Quad Chamber will be partnering with a local charity for their annual toy drive. Once a month local churches in our area share resources and host a “family table” ministry. It offers a free dinner and social time for low income families in our community. This takes place every 3rd Tuesday of the month at Our Saviors Lutheran Church. During their December 18th event, they would like to offer a toy closet for parents/grandparents to be able to shop for their kids. They will be collecting toys. or cash donations to purchase toys for all ages from infant to teenagers. Since our Chamber consists of members from this local area, we feel this would be a great partnership and would help families right in our area.
The Chamber and Ours Saviors Lutheran Church will be accepting donations until December 17th. If your business would like to be a drop site or if you take up a collection and need to have toys picked up, please contact Kathy Kouba to make arrangements. Volunteers are also need to help on December 17th to wrap and organize toys or December 18th at family table to help with distribution. Please contact the Kathy, if you are able to help.
