The Anoka County Historical Society will host a Public Safety display during the Riverfest celebration on Saturday, July 10, 2010 from 9:00am to 5:00pm. The public is invited to view demonstrations and see the inside of a squad car. In addition, the exhibit will feature the Shy Watch lift elevator and the Counter Terrorism Urban Assault vehicle in the parking lot of the History Center-weather permitting. There will be no charge for the museum on that day.  Come and join in the fun!  After all, who doesn’t love a siren?

The Anoka County Historical Society is proud to announce the opening of its latest exhibit, “Strings, Things, and Notable Staff.”  This is the third in the “Sounds of Anoka County” series and will focus on orchestra conductors and music educators.  The public is invited to view the exhibit without charge on Saturday, July 10th, from 10:00am to 4:00pm as part of Anoka’s Riverfest celebration.
