Minutes
January 23 2007
Call to Order: 12:10 p.m.
Attendance:
Mike Bailey, LaChelle Williams, Mady Reiter, Leslie Welnetz, Mitch
Rehbine, Faamati Winey, Mary Divine
Minutes:
Minutes from the1/9/2007 meeting were approved.
Organizational:
a. Administrative: Members discussed administrative duties and
timeliness of activities that need to be completed. Issues that need to
be addressed include:

Balancing of the checkbook and deposits of membership
dues, and financial statements
·
Membership updates and following up with members who have
not renewed; Members questioned whether renewal notices had been sent,
since some board members had not received renewal notices
·
Organization and administrative duties, including filing
taxes
There was discussion about talking to current administrator Chris
regarding activities that need to be performed and beginning a search
for a part time administrator. It was moved and seconded to store
Quad Chamber documents and supplies at Community National Bank. Motion
passed unanimously.

d. Membership: Mady will be requesting a business list from the
four cities, and will ask cities to update her regarding new business.
Mady will have a core Ambassador group who will visit new businesses.
Mady requested materials for the membership packet.
Board members discussed options regarding the Metro North Chamber.
Communications/Advertising
a. Newsletter
Newsletter articles were due. Reminder of articles:

Announce change of board meetings

Announce change of chamber breakfast location
·
New business: Droel Family Dentistry will send material

b. Newspapers
Members reviewed a Request for Proposals regarding the
chamber newsletter. It was moved and seconded to send out the RFP to
the Quad Press and The Citizen Motion passed unanimously.
Charitable/Community Involvement
a. Blue Heron Days
b. Local Business Issues
c. Events:
The next event will be Don George, a motivational speaker, on
March 1 at 7 p.m. at the Country Inn & Suites. The event is free to
members and $10 to nonmembers. Mary will coordinate appetizers and
beverage. The newsletter will request RSVPs, and a postcard,
announcement in local papers, and follow-up calls will remind people of
the event.
