- Financial: The financial statement for April 1-May
31, 2005 was submitted.

- Communication/Advertising:
- Newsletter: articles are due.
- ·
Jason will include in newsletter that chamber
members can get a free link to their business site from the
chamber website.
- ·
Tim completed a history of what the chamber has
donated to, and it can be included in the newsletter. This can
also be used in the new prospect piece.
- ·
The newsletter will include a request for
volunteers for the golf and softball tournaments.
- ·
Mitch will do Business of the Month
- ·
Chad will do Blue Heron Days
- ·
Include ad for Chamber breakfasts at Cottage Café.
- ·
Brian will do sponsorship form for golf
tournament.
- Name Badges:
- Faamati presented options from Image Printing. Motion to get
2x3 engraved, magnetic tags, white on navy for all directors to
wear to events, groundbreakings, grand openings, etc. It will
say Name, Director, Quad Area Chamber of Commerce. Motion
approved unanimously.
- Brochure:
- Ambassadors will design an updated brochure and bring to
next meeting. Update the address, phone and website. Brochure
will be navy on white, so that lighter shades of the same blue
can give it more dimension. Motion to approve having a new
brochure printed. Motion approved unanimously.

- Mitch will also look into getting a Chamber window sticker
for Chamber members and bring cost for all to next meeting.
Motion made to approve Chamber stickers. Motion passed
unanimously. Certificates can still be made by Jeannie, but the
Ambassadors can use the window stickers when talking to
prospects.

- Blue Heron Days:

The softball tournament is sponsored by the
Chamber. Net profits will go to the Blue Heron Days Committee.
It was moved an ad be placed in “Let’s Play Softball” to get
teams to sign up. Motion approved unanimously.

Jeannie should mail donation forms to all
businesses from the City of Lino Lakes Business List. Roxanne
and Mitch are going to try to format the list for labels. The
Blue Heron Days Committee will pay for the postage.

Lynn will send in the parade application for the
Lino Lakes float.
- ·
Blue Heron Committee meets Wednesdays at 6:30 p.m.
at Miller’s.
- Networking Breakfasts:
- ·
It was decided to not send postcards for Chamber
breakfasts at Cottage Café. The cost is too high. Members will
try to bring a prospect with them to the breakfasts.
- Good Guy Open:

It was moved and approved to donate up to $225 for
a driver to donate to the silent auction. The tournament is at
Majestic Oaks. Discussion regarding Chamber funds for events
outside the Chamber cities concluded that this event would get
the Chamber name advertised.

Chamber Business List:
-
A list of businesses was obtained from the state, but it had
1,800 names on it. It did not include any Centerville
businesses. This would increase the Chamber mailings from 300 to
1,800. Members discussed the best way to have a manageable list
that was up to date. Jeannie will send the current mailing list
to all directors. She will separate out members and nonmembers.
All directors will inform Jeannie of names that should be added
or deleted as they discover new businesses or meet new
prospects.
